Access to Moodle No Longer Available

Access to course content on our former learning management system, Moodle officially ended on January 31, 2025. This means that course materials are no longer accessible through that platform.

To prepare for the full transition to Canvas in fall 2024, the university provided advance notice and posted information on the Moodle homepage regarding its retirement. Users were advised to download and save any necessary content for record-keeping.

As of Fall 2024, the university has fully transitioned to Canvas as its Learning Management System, providing the most current course materials and teaching tools.

Message from the Provost

In fall 2023, we signed a contract with Instructure to adopt Canvas as our new LMS. Many of you have expressed concerns about making this change while we have so many other things on our plate.

Most of our students come from schools that use Canvas and we have established a talented project team to guide the implementation. This team will be paying particular attention to setting realistic (if aggressive) timelines, and identifying the support and resources that students, faculty and staff will need. In addition, 5 faculty have agreed to participate in a pilot of Canvas during spring 2024.

Canvas is the world’s #1 teaching and learning software and is built to make teaching and learning easier for everyone. Known for its flexibility, accessibility and mobility, Canvas solutions make educators more effective and students more successful in school and beyond.
