Welcome to the Center for Online Learning (COL)!

Our mission is to support the university’s commitment to excellence in higher education. We do this by supporting FPU faculty in the design, development and delivery of online, blended and face-to-face instruction using academic technologies. We are committed to helping FPU’s online students be successful learners by providing easy access to resources, tutorials, digital technologies and support with Moodle. COL exists to provide FPU faculty with technical support and pedagogical training to purposefully integrate technology into their online, blended and face-to-face courses.

We work with faculty on integrating appropriate online teaching pedagogy and using technologies that promote student engagement and critical thinking skills. We provide assistance with course design and development strategies that support effective communication and learning for students. We help faculty acquire the technical skills necessary to confidently utilize academic technology tools in their courses, both for instruction and for student projects and collaboration. We support faculty in developing or migrating their course materials in Moodle.
