Online Teaching Certification
Before faculty are assigned to teach an online or blended course for the first time they should be able to use Moodle, the university’s Learning Management System to ensure an online course learning experience that incorporates clear instructions, effective communication, appropriate and varied learning activities, and helpful learning resources.
The current expectation is that faculty teaching online and blended courses complete Introduction to Teaching with Moodle, a self-paced training that focuses exclusively on Moodle skills and takes about 2 hours to complete. Upon successful completion, a Certificate is issued to the faculty member as evidence. Contact your Dean's Assistant for registration information.
